HDPE Poly Pipeline Construction in the Permian Basin
Produced water, gas and crude gathering lines in HDPE, fused and laid by our own crews from our own poly shop.
Poly is the workhorse of Permian gathering and produced water, and it's work we do every day. Our fusion crews run their own machines, from small-diameter flowline up to 30" trunk line, and record fusion data on every joint, so you get a record you can audit, not a foreman's word.
We run our own poly shop for fusion machine upkeep and fittings prep, so a broken heater plate doesn't stop your schedule. Rolls or joints, trenched or surface lay, we'll bid the method that fits your line and your timeline.

WHERE WE WORK
We mobilize from our yard at 6101 E I-20 in Midland, Texas, and work exclusively in the Permian Basin: the Midland Basin and both the Texas and New Mexico sides of the Delaware Basin. This basin is all we do, so our crews already know its caliche, its rock, its lease roads and its operators' standards.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What sizes of HDPE pipe does Encore install?
From 2-inch flowline up to 30-inch trunk line. Smaller diameters usually go in from coiled rolls, which means fewer joints and faster lay; larger diameters go in as stick joints. We run single lines and multi-line ditches.
How do we know the fusion joints are good?
Every fusion joint is data-logged, recording the heating, pressure and cooling cycle for that joint, so you get a record your QA/QC team can audit. Lines are then hydrostatically tested before turnover.
What is the difference between butt fusion and electrofusion?
Butt fusion heats the two pipe ends on a plate and presses them together; it is the standard joint for straight runs. Electrofusion uses fittings and couplings with heating wire built in, and is used for tie-ins, repairs and tight spots where a butt fusion machine will not fit. Our crews run both.
Should a produced water line be poly or steel?
Poly does not corrode, which is why it carries most produced water in the Permian. Higher pressures or temperatures can call for steel or composite instead. Because we build all three, we'll recommend the material that fits your service rather than the one we happen to own.
Who keeps the fusion machines running?
We do. Our own poly shop in Midland handles fusion machine upkeep and fittings prep, so a broken heater plate doesn't stop your schedule.
