Central Tank Battery & Facility Construction in the Permian Basin
Encore builds central tank batteries and production facilities, and the gathering lines that feed them. Our crews set tanks and vessels, fabricate and install the headers and pad piping, hook up measurement skids, and tie the flowlines in, so one contractor carries the facility from flowline to final walk-down.
What this scope includes
Tank batteries
- setting tanks on ringwall pads, stairways, walkways and containment.
Pad piping and headers
- fabricating and installing inlet and outlet headers on pipe supports.
Separation and measurement
- setting separators, meter and LACT skids, pump and manifold skids.
Flowline tie-ins
- bringing gathering lines into the battery and tying them over.
Site work
- pads, concrete, bollards, fencing and grading.
Why operators choose us for this work
One contractor, flowline to facility
The crews that build the line into the battery build the battery.
Our own welders and fabrication
Headers, manifolds and spool pieces built by Encore, not bought in.
Our own iron
95%+ of the heavy iron on the job is ours, so the schedule is not waiting on a rental yard.

WHERE WE WORK
We mobilize from our yard at 6101 E I-20 in Midland, Texas, and work exclusively in the Permian Basin: the Midland Basin and both the Texas and New Mexico sides of the Delaware Basin. This basin is all we do, so our crews already know its caliche, its rock, its lease roads and its operators' standards.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a central tank battery?
A central tank battery (CTB) is a site where production from several wells is separated, measured and stored before it is sold or transported.
What does Encore build at a battery?
Tanks on ringwall pads with stairways, walkways and containment; inlet and outlet headers on pipe supports; separators, meter and LACT skids, pump and manifold skids; flowline tie-ins; and site work including pads, concrete, bollards, fencing and grading.
What is a LACT unit?
A Lease Automatic Custody Transfer unit measures and samples crude as ownership passes from the operator to the purchaser. We set LACT skids and pipe them in.
Do you fabricate the headers and manifolds?
Yes. Headers, manifolds and spool pieces are built by Encore welders, not bought in.
Can you build the lines into the facility too?
Yes. The crews that build the line into the battery build the battery.
