Fast Line on Surface

Surface-Lay Poly Lines, Built Fast

When you need water moving this week, not next month. Poly fused and laid on the surface, with no ditch and no wait on dirt work.

Overview

Surface lay skips the trench. We fuse poly and lay it along the route on the ground, so a line can be up and under test in a fraction of the time a buried line takes. It's the right call for temporary transfer, completion water, and lines you plan to move or bury later.

Our crews run single and multi-line surface lays, handle crossings and road protection, and pull the line back up when the job's done.

WHERE WE WORK

We mobilize from our yard at 6101 E I-20 in Midland, Texas, and work exclusively in the Permian Basin: the Midland Basin and both the Texas and New Mexico sides of the Delaware Basin. This basin is all we do, so our crews already know its caliche, its rock, its lease roads and its operators' standards.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a fast line?

A poly line fused and laid on the surface along the route, with no ditch. Skipping the trench means a line can be up and under test in a fraction of the time a buried line takes.

When should we choose surface lay over a buried line?

Surface lay fits temporary transfer, completion and frac water, and lines you plan to move or bury later. A buried line is the better call for permanent service or a route with heavy traffic exposure.

How are road and lease-road crossings handled?

We build crossing ramps and protect the line at roads, lease roads and existing pipelines, and secure the line so it stays in place and clear of traffic.

Can a surface line be buried later?

Yes. We convert surface lines to buried lines when a temporary route becomes permanent.

What happens when the job is over?

We pressure test the line at the start, and when you are done with it we pick it up and recover it. One contractor puts it out and brings it back.
